HIGH STREET A/W ESSENTIALS - TOPSHOP, ZARA, RIVER ISLAND

As we know, UK weather is just unpredictable. We're in the middle/end of summer and there's only been rare bursts of sunshine and heat... So this means you might as well stock up on your autumn/ winter staples! Plus, I know payday is near guys.. 

So here's a few pieces I have put together from a few of my favourite high street shops. First up, Topshop. I love Topshop for their basic tops they do in about every colour going and for the fairly cheap prices. Their jumpers and sweats can be a bit over-priced though.. 

I'm all about the neutrals all the time- grey being the colour I own most of (I have about 15 grey t shirts that all look exactly the same), followed by black and white. You just can't go wrong! the only problem is that it starts to look like you're wearing exactly the same clothes as you were yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that... Whoops. 

- A smart-casj top for when you meet those friends who always dress up even to go Nando's and you just really cba with life. 
- Basic sweaters, knits, tops of all shapes and sizes to make it look like you've not been wearing the same pair of jeans for the past 3 days. 
- Cute little tweed skirt- give it some life with the trusty leather jacket and heeled boots.
- Heeled boots to get yourself from drab to... quite fab.
- Distressed shorts for those of you that are still hanging onto your summer and are in denial.

Next up.. Zara. Zara is my all time favourite. Whenever you're stuck on a outfit or a item of clothing.. just hit up Zara. Zara is just life. Everyone 110% needs a good leather/ pleather jacket to just chuck on top of anything to give it that edge. Stick a hat on, alternate your jeans and Ts and voila. Also, loving these nude pointy, strappy flats I bought recently!

- Croc bag which has been on the Zara site for about a year and they're still selling them... Watch out, the price keeps changing on this! It was about 90 GBP last year if I remember correctly then it went up to 120 and now it's back down! Yes, it is sort of a Chanel Boy mock but who cares, it's Zara! And, we all know that it is not Chanel. So it's all good. 
- Love love love Zara's heels, the ones I have bought from them are all so comfortable and reasonable height. It's such a Tumblr girl thing. 
- A pair of ripped jeans is a must for that effortless-cool look. Find a pair that is distressed but not actually got holes! We all know about crusty skin in the winter time, no one wants to see your crusty knees poking out of the distressed hole. Plus, the less air we get, the warmer we are :)

Zara wool scarves are actually to die for in the winter! I'm just waiting for there to be more designs. My sisters and I literally live in them. Perfect huge size, doubles as a blanket. Wrap over a leather jacket with your hair half in it, banging. 

I always try to find things in River Island because the store always looks so appealing but when I get inside, I can't find something I reaallyyyy want. Anywho, we all need a autumn looking skirt, no florals or bright colours -keep it neutral and suede. Suede just makes any item look so much more expensive and chic. It can be expensive if you find the real suede ones though... BUT, you can find very good faux suede around these days for a hell of a lot cheaper. 

- A body chain to spice up any top or dress. Love a good body chain over a knit! 
- Strappy casual mid-heels for that added height when going out for dinner etc..
- Long waistcoat to layer over over jeans and a nice t shirt will do.. just make sure you have a nice bag! Be careful if you're short... these can seriously drown you.
