B'DAY // SUSHI SAMBA

18 September 2015 • No comments

You may or may not be aware that I am getting old and wrinkly. Yes, life is getting on a bit and I need to do something with it. I'M OLDDDDD. Internally sobbing right now.

Anyways, I'm not much of a celebrator and I prefer to keep quiet about my birthday because it's depressing to me (and I don't like to share my age), although everyone is celebrating their years of life. My parents and particularly sisters put a bit of effort to surprise me with cake, balloons etc, followed by present opening! The traditional family member birthday sort of thang, except this time with buntings, balloons and a table laid out with my gifts. Much love, much much love.

My sisters decided to take me out for a nice little meal at Sushi Samba, courtesy of their purses :) It is quite hard to book a table there as people book up to two months in advance. I tried to book it a month beforehand for me and my friends but it was fully booked. Luckily, my sister tried a week before my birthday and managed to get hold of a table!

My sisters looked super cute and unintentionally matching..

Their bags tho!

Surprise when I came out of the toilet! //Assorted Mochi Ice Cream

Can you tell how happy I was? It's the small things.

The view at Sushi Samba is quite incredible, super ear-poppingly high up overlooking London. I'm sure it looks much prettier at night! The food was lovely, impeccable presentation and super fresh. Service was very good at the start but as all our food started to hit the table, the service became so poor. Lack of attention, to the point of thirst. Only concerned about the bill towards the end. It was reasonably priced for the location and quality of food. I wish the service towards the end had been much better and more attentive. The manager seemed to go to every table to say hi... except ours. Racist? Maybe. Who knows...

HOWEVER.

Thank you so much to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! And a HUGE HEARTWARMING THANK YOU to my sisters for the huge present, the day out, spending their time with me and not their boyfriends and arranging everything! Also a big big massive thank you to the most amazing parents for the continuous love and support, the very big present and of course... life. Just life. I love you all so much!

OK enough of the sobs, goodbye!
