GETTING CHRISTMASSY

On Saturday, I went to Winter Wonderland and to the Natural History Museum with my closest friend to celebrate her birthday (and because I hadn't seen her in a long time)! I don't get out of my house/ uni much so it was lovely to spend a day out and go on rides (I usually hate rides).

[[!!CHRISTMAS IS SO SOON AND I'M STILL NOT IN THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT OR STARTED CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!]]

 WINTER WONDERLAND

We arrived quite early (around 3pm) to avoid the rush of people and queueing to get in.

I waited a whole year for these churros! Sadly, they weren't as nice as last year :( instead of using actual sugar, this year they used icing sugar! [£5]

I thought I was going to die on this ride... It stopped right at the top for about 2 minutes whilst I saw the whole of London, then it dropped down so quick I didn't even have enough energy to scream!

Also went on the tallest ride you can see here- basically a very tall rotating swing. I did not feel safe at all holding onto just two thin chains! I cannot tell you how many tears flew down my face on the rides!

I got forced to go on this one.. "it doesn't even go that high" she says </3 I almost died for the third time.

I spent £21 on rides alone [£7 per ride] which is expected for such a popular attraction around this peak time. Still broke my heart a bit though </3

Entry for Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park is free, you just have to pay for the rides individually. Book in advance for the popular rides/ circus/ ice bar/ ice skating! I tried booking a week in advance and it was still too late, hence going to the Natural History Museum for ice skating.

ICE SKATING AT THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

The pretty exit for the Natural History Museum at South Kensington.

Wrapped my coat up and swung my bag across myself.. tourist mode ON!

SCARF [ZARA]

For the ice skating, it is £14.50 + £1.45 [total of £15.95] per person for about 50 minutes of skating time. It is recommended to arrive 40 minutes before your booked slot in order to queue up and get your skates on. You get the lovely view of the historic museum surrounded by trees wrapped in pretty blue lights, getting you into the festive season!

Information for booking rides at WW [click here]

Remember to plan ahead, both of the attractions are open until 4th Jan 2015- book your tickets in advance. Or.. remember to book them early next year!

Thank you for reading, have a lovely Christmas and stuff your bellies!
